Solar energy company expands in Arizona

Updated: Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Solar Eco Energy, a provider of solar energy solutions for homes and businesses, has announced it will begin offering its services in the Phoenix area.

The company, which already has locations in Goodyear and Scottsdale, has expanded into the city to take advantage of its average of 300 days of sunlight per year.

Currently, the company specializes in consulting and implementation services for photovoltaic energy systems and plans to begin offering solar water heating systems for homes, businesses and swimming pools in the future.

Some of its products may make their owners eligible for rebates from local electric utilities, which could reduce costs by up to 70 percent.

Solar Eco Energy's owner, Michael Campbell, said the company's expansion to Phoenix and development of new solar energy solutions aims to help more individuals "lock in [their] electric rates for life, [reduce] or eliminate [their] current power bill and minimize [their] dependence on others for power."

Individuals wishing to take advantage of growing opportunities in energy may consider enrolling in associates, bachelors and masters programs in sustainable management, renewable energy or green power generation that can pave the road to a new career.

For example, solar photovoltaic installation crew leaders with such educational qualifications can earn between $20 and $25 per hour, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
